The Thermo Scientific Model 4200 detects the percentage of base, sediment and water (BS&W) in crude oil and refined products. For over 25 years, oilfield and pipeline operators have used the device to optimize the extraction and transportation of crude oil.
The Thermo Scientific Model 4200 capacitance probes (BS&W) provide an analog output of percent emulsified water in the process system.
The measuring system consists of a heavy duty steel spool piece with an internal element and output module. Two different models are available for high range and low range applications. The output module incorporates a digital sensor card that can be calibrated for a variety of preset ranges representing different water cuts.
